TBF Special State Meeting: Results

The results of the Special State meeting are as follows:

1. In Attendence. there were 27 out of 53 clubs represented.

2. For Proposal #1 - Pairing of Contestants Rule Change:

   Vote: Passed - 21 For, 6 Opposed

3. For Proposal #2 - This proposal was withdrawn w/o taking a vote.

4. For the remainder of 2015, Jerry Jones was appointed as Vice President to fill the position b/c of the resignation of the previous Vice President.

 

The following is the new Pairing of Contestants rule as voted in by the passing of Proposal #1:

#25:    PAIRING OF CONTESTANTS:  Special rules to apply are as follows:

 

1.         Clubs may register a six (6) man, four (4) man or two (2) man team which will fish both days together.  Teams can not change partners.  A club can not register an odd man team.  If one fisherman can not fish the second day, then the remaining fisherman can fish alone. 

 

2.         If more than one club team is registered, the cost is $500.00 per team, including big bass pot.

 

3.         A maximum of six (6) polygraph tests can be administered at “RANDOM”.  Failure of a polygraph test by any contestant will result in a lifetime ban from future tournaments within the Tn. Bass Federation, the TBF, Inc. and other Tournament Organizations.  Failure could or may result in both competitors incurring a “LIFETIME” ban.

a.         Failure of a polygraph test will result in that fisherman’s entire club team being disqualified from the tournament.

 

4.         If a club team has any team fail to show up for the second day blast off will result in that team loosing one (1) position in the final team standing, provided they have not contacted the Tournament Director at least one (1) hour before blast off.

 

5.         All new clubs entering a team in the tournament must have been a dues paying club in good standing with all dues paid current at least NINETY(90) days prior to the “TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION DAY”.  All team members must also have been on the club roster at least NINETY (90) days prior to the “TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION DAY”.  All clubs must be in attendance at their respective Regional Meetings held during the year.

 

a.         EXCEPTION:  existing clubs can add members up to thirty (30) days if that member was on that club’s roster last year.

 

All contestants must attend the “TEAM REGISTRATION AND BRIEFING MEETING HELD” on Thursday before the tournament.  Thursday will remain as “OFF LIMITS”.  The briefing meeting shall begin within an hour of the close of the tournament registration.

 

This change is only on a “TRIAL” basis for the fall divisional tournaments to be held.  Another vote will take place at the November Annual Meeting as to whether to accept it on a permanent basis or return to the original rule.
